MDL has built a highly successful business over the past 7 decades and is recognised as one of Ireland’s leading and most distinguished motor vehicle distributors for many of the world’s leading motor brands. They are best known as the Irish Distributor for Mercedes-Benz since 1954.

Business Requirement and Customer Challenges

MDL wished to improve usage and engagement from Dealers with their CRM system. Dealership users needed the system to be straightforward and easy to use, so MDL could capture and see relevant information on customers, leads and opportunities, specific to MDL’s requirements.

Business Requirements included:

  • Lead and Opportunity Management: To capture and see relevant information on customers, leads and opportunities with fields and layouts tailored to MDL.
  • Account and Contact Oversight: Allow MDL and dealer teams to have an overview of existing Accounts and Contacts..
  • Vehicle Ordering Process: Improve vehicle ordering process to ensure vehicles orders are tracked and in addition to any amendments.
  • Quote Generation: Generate a quote document automatically upon creation of a potential vehicle order.
  • Security: Configure security and sharing to protect organisation data.
  • Training: Ensuring the administrators of the system have resources to customise and maintain their own Salesforce organisation, with documentation to use for future success.
