About Skipton International

Skipton International is a bank wholly owned by Skipton Building Society, one of the largest building societies in the UK. Skipton International aims to help their customers achieve their property and savings goals and offer a range of residential mortgage options for Guernsey & Jersey residents.

Business Requirement and Customer Challenges

Skipton required a branded portal for their customers to be able to login and manage their mortgage accounts. The solution needed to allow existing products and product applications to be managed efficiently by the internal Skipton team, along with providing customers with the information and tools required to improve their interactions with Skipton.

Business Requirements included:

  • Customisation of their current Salesforce system to allow for mortgage data to be successfully integrated and viewed within their org
  • Internal users must be able to quickly access an overall view of the customer, showing their current products, applications and transactions
  • Create a branded and secure portal for customers to access their mortgage information for one or multiple accounts
  • Allow customers to view and download transactions for their mortgage accounts
  • Provide customers with access to relevant documents which are associated with their mortgage accounts
  • Allow customers to submit specific requests with regards to their mortgage accounts e.g. update their details, request for more funds, change of direct debit information, request repayment, request a callback from the Skipton team etc.
  • The portal must be accessible and useable via a mobile phone
  • The portal needs to have a robust sign up and login process which includes 2FA
  • Internal Skipton employees must be notified of a customer request and the relevant details for that request
